How does the Auditor-General help you?

The Auditor-General and her staff oversee all the schools in New Zealand. They do this to ensure funding is provided to your school is being spent properly by the Board of Trustees. The Auditor-General also has power to investigate other functions of the school at her discretion.

What does the Auditor-General's office do for your school?

The Auditor-General and her staff are concerned with use of public money provided to your school and the associated reporting of spending. You can be confident that to a reasonable level that Board of Trustees spending is in line with expectations of the Public Sector. The Office of the Auditor-General also has the ability to investigate other areas of the schooling system if issues are brought to attention.
